If you’re thinking of doing these when vaping – Don’t!
We love all things vaping at Smokey Joes and what’s not to love. There are many amazing things to love about the vast world of vaping – having sweets without the calories, becoming a part of a community and getting into rebuildables … the list is endless.
However, like all things in life, the good comes with some bad and we’ve put a long list of ‘don’ts’ together to ensure your vaping experience is always a good one. If you’ve been following our instalments of the Vaping Bible, you know we’re accustomed to giving out a few Smokey Tips. Well, you’re in for a treat today because our whole guide is based on them. The clue is in the title if you’re thinking of doing these when vaping … don’t!
We’ve mentioned dry hits quite a lot previously and there’s a good reason for it. Dry hits are one of the most awful things you can experience as a vaper and it’s something you definitely need to try and avoid when vaping. We wouldn’t wish a dry hit on our worst enemy and if you think we’re sounding a tad dramatic, then we’re pretty sure you’ve never experienced one before. A dry hit is the taste of a burnt coil because your coil isn’t primed or wicked properly.
A Smokey Tip
Firstly, before anything, make sure you are priming your e-cig coil properly. If you’re replacing the coil in your tank, drip a little bit of e-liquid juice on the coil before reassembling your tank. Let your device sit for a couple of minutes before vaping. The longer you leave it, the less chance of getting a dry hit.
So, let’s set the scene with this one because we’ve all run into this problem at least once. You know when your iPhone is on 1% battery and the fear of actually having to talk to people creeps in, it’s exactly the same with your vaping device … except you’re not going to have a mouth full of goodness to help you get through it.
To keep each puff as high in intense flavour as possible, make sure your batteries are charged. If you’re setting off on a long trip, make sure you have enough batteries and accessories with you whilst you’re away.
A Smokey Tip
Keeping a backup charged battery with you can be a real vape-saver, especially when you’re on the go. Depending on your device, you can even use a Mini USB charger which is great to have in the car with you.
This is a real thing and it may not be the end of the world for most vapers but if you’re going with two extreme flavours, it’s not going to be the best combination. Flavour ghosting is where you can detect a previously-used flavour when vaping a new one. If you’re switching from tropical berry e-liquid by IVG to berry tunes e-liquid by Freaks, you might not taste it as much. But it might be a completely different story if you’re switching from Smokey Joes Berry Cool Chaser E-liquid to Cafe Caramel E-liquid by Blu. With proper cleaning and care, you can have a fresh, untainted vape.
A Smokey Tip
If you’re using an RDA you might be able to get away with just firing your mod until the juice has all been vaporized from the cotton, but I will always suggest changing your cotton if you can.
So, above we talk about what to avoid when vaping different flavours. Here, we’re going to talk about avoiding vaping just one e-liquid flavour.
We take this one pretty seriously and rightly so. Vapers tongue is when you vape the same e-liquid juice for too long so it ends up affecting your palate. The reason why this resonates with us so much is because we’re so passionate about our e-liquids. We live and breathe E-liquids, literally, so the thought of not being able to taste the goodness anymore kills us a little inside.
A Smokey Tip
There a few options you can try, from the weird and wonderful. You could try drinking a cup of black coffee or rinsing out your mouth with some ordinary mouthwash. However, if this isn’t your type of thing, sometimes it can help to have your second favourite e-liquid juice on standby. But remember, avoid falling into the trap of flavour ghosting.
Expensive E-liquid juices
There are many different reasons as to why people switch to vaping and a lot of the times, it can be down to saving money. With all things in the vaping world, it’s better to shop around for the best prices. We know there are a lot of great places to get your e-liquid juice from, but don’t be fooled. There’s simply only a few ingredients that should ever go into high-quality e-liquid juices and those are nicotine, flavouring, and a blend of PG and VG. That’s it, folks! As the popularity of vaping grows, so can companies marketing ploys. Whether they state they’re laced with unicorn tears or pixie dust, we’re not buying into it and neither should you.
A Smokey Tip
Know that the good folks here at Smokey Joes take pride in being able to provide not only quality but affordable e-liquid juices for all vapers.
