IP Ratings: The Ingress Protection rating is a classification tool showing the degree of protection from solid objects or liquids.
The first number displayed after the IP is related to solids. A scale is applied from 0 – 6 where 0 is no protection and 6 is protected from dust.
The second number is related to liquids but this time is a scale from 0 – 7. Again 0 is no protection whereas 7 is protection against immersion between 15cm and 1 meter.

|6||Nearly the same as #5, except for ship decks|
|7||Protected against the effects of immersion in water to depth between 15 cm and 1 meter|
